Preventative Health is important to CBHS. We are the only Private Health Insurance Fund who will pay a benefit towards Mammograms regardless of what level of Extras Cover you hold.
Breast cancer affects more than one in 10 women in Australia and if found early and treated promptly, most women with breast caner can lead a normal life. Over the last 10 years, deaths from breast cancer have fallen by almost 20%. CBHS is committed to assisting in decreasing this number. By paying a benefit towards mammograms, it helps to encourage women of all ages to have a mammogram.

Maximum Payment
The Maximum Payment for an individual Extras service is 70% of the service cost up to a pre-determined maximum amount.
Example
The Maximum Payment for the service Periodic Examination is 70% of the cost up to $28.
If your dentist charges you $35 for this service, you would receive a benefit payment of $21 (70% of $35 is $21).
If your dentist charges you $50 for this service, you would receive a benefit payment of $28. While 70% of $50 is $35, the Maximum Payment available for this service is $28 - the amount you would receive.
