Please note that providers must meet CBHS Provider Recognition Criteria and must comply with the Private Health Insurance Accreditation Rules effective 1 July 2009 (Rule 10).
ECLIPSE (Medical Providers)
Electronic Claiming using the ECLIPSE (Electronic Claim Lodgement and Information Processing Service Environment) system enables faster processing of claims as it incorporates the provider, Medicare Australia and CBHS in the one transaction.
CBHS Health Fund is enabled to receive medical claims through ECLIPSE for the following:
- Online Patient Verification (OPV)
- In-patient Medical Claiming (IMC)
- ECLIPSE Remittance Advice (ERA)
- Two-Way Claiming
- In-patient Hospital Claiming (IHC)
