Here’s a guide to assist you in understanding the meaning of the terminology used by CBHS.

  • Eclaim or Online Claiming

    CBHS offers an eClaim service, which enables you to submit a claim online for a range of Extras services. Click here to start an e-claim online.

  • Eligibility

    Access to CBHS is restricted to: Current and former employees, contractors and franchisees of the Commonwealth Bank Group (CBA Group), their partners and dependants Eligible family members of current or former CBA Group.. Read more

    Access to CBHS is restricted to:

    • Current and former employees, contractors and franchisees of the Commonwealth Bank Group (CBA Group), their partners and dependants
    • Eligible family members of current or former CBA Group employees, including former partners, non-dependent (adult) children, siblings, parents and grandchildren

    If you are no longer employed by the CBA Group, you and your immediate family are still eligible to join or stay with CBHS.

    If you previously worked for the Commonwealth Bank Group but did not join CBHS at the time, you and your immediate family will always remain eligible to join CBHS.

    Remember that once you are a member of CBHS, your eligibility remains regardless of your employment.

    EpiPen® and EpiPen Jr® Auto-Injectors (0.3 and 0.15 mg epinephrine) are for the emergency treatment of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) caused by allergens, exercise, or unknown triggers; and for patients who are at increased risk for these reactions.

    EpiPen and EpiPen Jr Auto-Injectors are designed for you to use immediately in an emergency, to treat an allergic reaction fast and give you time to get to a hospital or medical centre. EpiPen and EpiPen Jr Auto-Injectors are not a substitute for emergency medical treatment.

    You can reduce the cost of your Basic Plus Hospital cover by agreeing to pay an excess of $500 or $750.  This means that when you go into hospital you will pay the first $500 or $750 in respect to charges raised by a hospital.  This excess is per person up to a maximum of $1000 or $1500 per family membership per calendar year.

    You can reduce the cost of your Comprehensive Hospital (Gold) or Limited Hospital (Bronze Plus) cover by agreeing to pay a daily co-payment 

    Old products Hospital A Excess (Gold) & Hospital B Excess (Bronze Plus) have an excess of $350.00 per overnight stay to a maximum of $700.00 in any calendar year. These products also have co payments for day stay procedures. These products are closed for new memberships.
