Restricted services

There are three major categories of services in private health insurance: included, excluded or restricted.

restricted services

Proudly not-for-profit since 1951.

We turned 70 at the beginning of 2021. Seventy years of providing the highest value health insurance will teach you a thing or two about health and loyalty. We are proud to say that after more than 70 years, we still exist to bring you value every day. Simply put; our loyalty is to you and your health is our priority.

Restricted services

Understanding which services are restricted in your cover can help you plan more effectively for a hospital stay or medical treatment. Choosing the right hospital can minimise your out-of-pocket expenses.

Restricted services only attract partial benefits, which means you are only partially covered for those treatments or services.

These services or treatments might only attract the public hospital rate or something less than full benefits. They might only be covered if you stay in a public hospital (not a private hospital) as a private patient for the treatment. With restricted services, you may have to pay significant out-of-pocket expenses.
