CBHS Health private hospital benefits at Macquarie Hospital Group
CBHS Health is committed to providing our members with private hospital cover options that represent quality and value.
To meet this commitment, we have agreements with nearly 500 private and day hospitals across Australia, including Macquarie Hospital Group.
Unfortunately, Macquarie Hospital Group has recently issued a notice of termination of their agreement with CBHS. This termination will be effective from 17 March 2026.
Which hospitals are impacted by this termination?
The following hospitals are impacted by this termination:
New South Wales
- Holroyd Private Hospital, 123-129 Chetwynd Rd, Guildford
- Longueville Private Hospital, 45-47 Kenneth St, Longueville
- The Sydney Private Hospital, 63 Victoria St, Ashfield
- Delmar Private Hospital, 58 Quirk St, Dee Why
- Eastern Suburbs Private Hospital, 8 Chapel St, Randwick
- Manly Waters Private Hospital, 17 Cove Ave, Manly
- Minchinbury Community Hospital, 120 Rupertswood Rd, Rooty Hill
- President Private Hospital, Cnr of Hotham Rd & President Ave, Kirrawee
Victoria
- Essendon Private Clinic, 35 Rosehill Rd, Essendon West
- Malvern Private Hospital, 3-5 Wilton Vale Cres, Malvern East
- The Melbourne Eastern Private Hospital, 157 Scoresby Rd, Boronia
What are the impacts to members with an upcoming admission booked at a Macquarie Hospital Group facility?
There is no change to CBHS members whose hospital admission at a Macquarie Hospital Group facility is:
- before 17 March 2026 (including where discharge is on or after 17 March 2026)
- pre-booked before 17 March 2026, for an admission before 17 September 2026 (excluding pregnancy and birth-related services)
- pregnancy and birth-related services pre-booked before 17 March 2026, for an admission before 17 December 2026
- part of an ongoing course of treatment, until the completion of the course of treatment, or up to 17 August 2026, whichever occurs first
- an emergency admission before 17 June 2026.
If your admission falls into one of the above criteria, you will not be impacted by the contract termination.
What does this mean for CBHS members?
This means that if a CBHS member attends a Macquarie Hospital Group facility for a procedure or treatment from 17 March 2026, they are likely to experience out-of-pocket costs, unless it falls into one of the above criteria.
As with all hospital admissions, we suggest members contact the hospital to confirm any out-of-pocket costs. To reduce out-of-pocket costs, members can also choose to be treated at an alternative CBHS agreement hospital.
