Nice cream 3 ways
Nutrition content per serve based on banana-vanilla*

Ingredients:
Banana-vanilla:
- 2 bananas, peeled and frozen
- ¼ cup – ½ cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup protein powder, optional but recommended
- 1 tsp sweetener (optional)
Banana-berry:
- 2 bananas, peeled and frozen
- 1 cup strawberries/raspberries/blueberries
- ¼ cup – ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp sweetener (optional)
Chocolate-peanut butter:
- 2 bananas, peeled and frozen
- ¼ cup cocoa or chocolate protein powder
- 2 heaped tbsp peanut butter
- ¼ cup – ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp sweetener (optional)
To serve*:
- Choose your favourite toppings, e.g. fresh berries, crushed nuts, coconut flakes or cacao nibs.
Directions:
- Place all ingredients into blender or food processor bowl.
- Blend until the mixture is the consistency of soft-serve ice cream. You’ll need to scrape down the sides and break up any clumped banana chunks as needed. Add more liquid if needed.
- Serve immediately and top with your favourite toppings.
Chef’s tips:
- The amount of milk required will vary based on what blender you use. High-power blenders require less liquid, while smaller units may require more than recommended in the recipe. Add more than ½ cup milk if you need to.
- If preferred, use a plant-based milk, like soy or almond, instead of cow's milk. Choose a plant-based milk that’s calcium fortified, i.e. at least 100mg calcium per 100ml. You can check this by reading the nutrition information panel on the back.
Why it’s good for you:
- Nice cream is much lower in saturated fat and added sugars than regular ice cream. It also contains more fibre, which helps feed your good gut bacteria.
- Bananas are a good source of potassium, vitamin B6 and vitamin C.
