Men's health programs and support
Have regular health checks
Many diseases and conditions can develop in the background with little or no symptoms and regular check-ups can help to identify these. CBHS Extras or packaged cover offers benefits on health checks that include bone density tests, skin cancer screening, bowel/prostate cancer screening and eye screenings. Check your policy for details or view CBHS packaged and Extras cover.
Get mental health support
If you need help with your mental health you might qualify for one of our mental health Better Living programs. These programs are free for members with an appropriate level of Hospital or packaged cover. Members with Prestige cover can also access Mental Health Navigator, which offers confidential support from the comfort of your own home. After a virtual meeting with a mental health nurse you’re referred to a psychiatrist and/or clinical psychologist for a detailed assessment via video link. The nurse guides you to follow-up treatment and supports you for six months. Read more about our Better Living Programs.
Reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease
CBHS Extras include benefits towards health management services like quit smoking programs, weight management programs and stress management courses. We also cover gym memberships as part of a health management program. Your CBHS health cover also qualifies you for a discount on the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet, a scientifically proven, healthy way of losing weight.
