Why does health at work matter?

Almost a third of our lives are spent working, which is why the actions we take at work can have such an impact on our overall health and wellbeing. From dealing with stress and lack of exercise, to coping with back pain, repetitive strain injury (RSI) or unhealthy eating habits, there’s plenty we can do to improve our health at work.

Health at work programs and support

Mental health support

If workplace stress is making you feel anxious or depressed, it’s important to seek help early, so you can access appropriate treatment. CBHS Better Living programs may be able to help, with home visits from registered mental health nurses and support for medication regimes. Back pain

You can get help for back pain from a physiotherapist, exercise physiologist, occupational therapist, osteopath or chiropractor and claim for appointments under your CBHS Extras or packaged cover. Acupuncture may offer some pain relief and is also claimable under Extras. You’ll need to see your GP in the first instance for a referral. Fit for work
